Summer Internship: AI Soccer Analyst / Trainer

About the Role
LevelUp.soccer is an AI-powered training platform for youth players ages 8–16. Coaches and players upload practice clips and full matches, and our AI returns player-by-player breakdowns, drill recommendations, and 4-week development plans.
As an AI Soccer Analyst / Trainer intern, you'll be the human-in-the-loop that makes the AI smarter. You'll review match footage, sharpen our event detection, tune drill recommendations against real skill gaps, and help design the next set of training plans that ship to players around the country. You'll also film yourself doing drills, create short-form video, and help run our social channels — the kind of work that builds your own brand at the same time.
Review Match Film
Watch AI-flagged moments from real youth matches. Confirm, reject, or re-tag so the model keeps getting more accurate every week.
Tune the AI Coach
Help author the prompts and rubrics our six specialist AI coaches use to grade technique, decision-making, and tactical awareness.
Design Training Plans
Build periodized 4-week development blocks tied to position, skill gaps, and ambition. Your fingerprints will be on plans used by real teams.
Mentor Players
Occasionally hop on a clip review with a player or club. Your D1 perspective is exactly what these kids are dreaming of.
Film Drills & Demos
Record yourself executing drills and technique demos that ship inside the Training Lab. Your reps become reference video for thousands of players.
Create Social Content
Help drive our social channels with short-form video and player-facing content. Build your own brand alongside ours.
Who We're Looking For
- ·Current or former NCAA Division I soccer athlete (any position).
- ·You watch the game closely and can articulate what good and bad reps look like.
- ·Comfortable on a laptop. Curious about AI. No coding required.
- ·Reliable, communicative, and excited to help kids 8–16 fall in love with training.
- ·Coaching, club, or academy experience is a plus — not required.
The Details
- ·Location: Fully remote. Work from anywhere.
- ·Hours: Flexible, part-time. Around your training and class schedule.
- ·Length: Summer internship with the option to continue into the school year.
- ·Compensation: Unpaid internship. You'll earn commission on every paid referral you bring in — players, parents, or clubs.
Certification & Referral Letter
At the end of your internship, you'll receive a personal certification and referral letter from our founder documenting your work and achievements — something real you can take to coaching jobs, grad school, or your next role in soccer or tech.
