    Objective

Build close-control dribbling so the ball stays within one step at all times.

    Setup

5-10 cones in a straight line, 2-3 feet apart, ball at the start cone.

    Instructions
    1. Set up 5-10 cones in a straight line, 2-3 feet apart
    2. Start at one end with the ball at your feet
    3. Dribble through the cones using the inside and outside of both feet
    4. Keep the ball close and maintain control
    5. Time yourself and try to improve each attempt
    What good looks like
    • Both feet involved — inside and outside touches in the same run
    • Ball never more than a step ahead through every cone
    • Head pops up between cones to scan
    • Pace builds across the run, not a stop-start cadence
    Common mistakes
    • Knocking the ball too far ahead so a defender could intercept
    • Using only the inside of the dominant foot (no outside touches)
    • Head down the entire run with no scanning
    • Slowing dramatically at every cone instead of changing rhythm

    Pressure

Same pace, head up between every cone (call out a number a partner shows).

    Match Rhythm

    Level 5

Add an explosive 5-yard sprint out of the last cone.

    Mastery

    Level 6

Run with a chasing 'pressure' partner; finish with a move and shot.
