    How to record this drill

Record 5+ reps in a row. 1 rep demonstrates the move — 5+ proves you own it and unlocks an uncapped score.

    Objective

Two complete scissors fakes before the exit — the first creates uncertainty, the second drops the defender's weight at exactly the right moment.

    Setup

One cone or passive defender. 10 yards run-up. Ball at feet.

    Instructions
    1. Approach the cone at pace
    2. First scissors: right foot swings across the front of the ball, body shifts left
    3. Without pausing, immediately second scissors: swing back the other way (or left foot crosses)
    4. Exit explosively in your chosen direction immediately after the second cross
    5. Rhythm is everything — two smooth crosses then burst, not two stops with a burst
    6. Master the single scissors before attempting the double
    What good looks like
    • Two smooth, rhythmic crosses — consistent tempo throughout
    • Body commits in the fake direction on each cross
    • Exit explosive immediately after the second cross
    • Ball controlled throughout — stays within playing distance
    Common mistakes
    • Pause between the two scissors — they must flow without stopping
    • Second scissors weaker than the first — both must be convincing
    • Exiting on the wrong side — exit opposes the SECOND scissors direction
    • Ball drifts too far forward during the double — stay close

How the AI scores this drill
Primary metric: Move Execution And Exit Quality

    Technique

    30%

The move is executed with the correct mechanics for this specific drill (foot path, contact point, timing). See per-move AI instructions for exactly what to look for.

    Deception

    20%

Shoulder/body fake sells the move — an imagined defender would realistically commit. Weight transfer is visible and deliberate. The fake precedes the exit.

    Ball Control

    20%

Ball stays within playing distance (1–2 yards max) throughout the move. Exit touch is controlled. No heavy touch that gives possession away.

    Explosive Exit

    20%

Acceleration in the first 3 steps after the move. Ball pushed into open space (not dead underfoot). Player body leans forward into the burst.

    Balance & Control

    10%

Low centre of gravity during the move. Stable body position — no stumble or lurch. Player is under control at the point of exit.
