    Objective

Close down 1v1s by narrowing the angle and forcing the attacker into a low-percentage shot.

    Setup

Goal, gloves, attacker (or cone) starting 20 yards out, ball.

    Instructions
    1. Start on goal line, attacker starts 20 yards out
    2. As attacker approaches, advance to narrow the angle
    3. Stay on feet as long as possible
    4. Get into 'star' position - arms out, legs spread
    5. Time your advance - don't commit too early
    6. Practice different scenarios: slow dribble, fast break
    What good looks like

    Common mistakes
    • Diving in early — attacker chips you
    • Standing on the line — angle wide open
