A gas station is not a nutrition exam. It is a small store with a limited menu, and it can still provide useful soccer fuel if you shop by function.

Build for the Clock
For a match in two to three hours, a turkey sandwich, banana, pretzels, and water is one practical combination. Closer to kickoff, use a smaller carbohydrate option. After a match, bring protein and carbohydrates back into the plan for recovery.
Skip the Food Morality
“Healthy” is too broad to plan a game day. A food can be nutritious in one context and uncomfortable right before a match. Judge the option by timing, portion, digestion, and individual tolerance.
